"Loved it. Small, cute boutiquey space in Capitol Hill that feels far enough away from the craziness of the city that you can just relax and get your hair did. Saw the Groupon and snagged it right away, and I'm glad I did-- this is the best cut I've had in years. Josh knew exactly what I wanted and improved upon it-- very professional and so easy to talk to. Yay!"

"I was new to the Seattle area when I saw a Living Social deal for Salon Armand and decided to try it. I am happy to say that I have now found my permanent stylist!
Allison has done such a great job on both of the haircuts I've had at Salon Armand and her attention to detail is much appreciated. She is very specific about how you want your hair to look and feel and takes time to make sure that she knows exactly what you want before starting. She loves cutting thick hair which was perfect for me (I seriously have the hour-long hair dry) and always does a great job getting some of that weight out of it. Everyone is always friendly when I'm there and the time really just flies by.
The prices are affordable and definitely worth it!"

"I've finally found a place where friendliness and great customer service meets amazing hairstyling abilities =D
It seems for me its normally one or the other, but Allison was not only an awesome, sweet person to talk to, but an amazing listener who really understood what I (and my little sister) wanted done with my hair.
Only one other person has been able to thin my hair out to how I like it before, and that was an extremely snobby place in Ballard.
And thats not even to mention that this place does extremely good deals. Even though I got an amazon local deal to try this place out, there normal prices are actually ones that I could see affording on a consistent basis.
Another amazing point of this place is that is really a small, humble salon, that I wasn't expecting to find on Capital Hill, but was exactly what I was looking for in a new salon that I can actually stick with. They're even open late on certain days! I was able to get a 6 pm appointment, which I'm sure might suck for the employees that get there early, but I am super grateful for since it allows for easier parking and going around my busy school schedule.
I could keep going on about their awesomeness (including using organic products), but I should proably leave it at how I really love this place and can't wait to go back for my bang and fringe trim in a few weeks."

"I discovered Salon Armand from the recent google deal ($30 for $70 worth of services), so I figured I'd book an appointment with Armand himself. First he asked me what I wanted to change/ what I liked about my current cut. I've been trying to grow it out and did like my current style so I mostly wanted to clean it up. He went over what he would do and he stuck to it. Too many times I've said I wanted to keep the length and come out with 4 inches off anyways. One thing I noticed was the shampoo he used on my hair smelled great! Overall, my cut didn't take long, he cleaned up and improved upon my current style and I was pleased with the result. He then took a long time styling my hair which turned out great and I got out of there in about an hour. I definitely felt like I got my moneys worth even without a drastic change.
Armand was super friendly and we had a nice chat. Not sure how someone would find anyone there snobby, I thought they were very welcoming and it was a great start to my day!"

"I bought the groupon for highlight, cut, etc. Never sure what you are going to get with those...but gave it a try. I saw Allison and LOVED what she did! She suggested that I do low lights instead of highlights, which I completely agreed with (she really knows her stuff!). She lowlighted and cut my hair and it came out better than I ever expected! She was awesome! I would go back to her in a heartbeat! It took a while for her personality to "warm up", but once she did she was great and I enjoyed my time there and am really loving my hair...highly recommended!!!!!"

"Armand is an Artist! I knew Armand from the Gary Manuel Institute and Gene Juarez, where he was a trainer, perhaps manager. When I saw a coupon for services at his salon, Salon Armand, I jumped at it. Salon Armand is a cute, light-filled space tucked into a mostly residential street 1/2 a block from a bustling urban area of Capitol Hill in Seattle.
Armand is gracious and friendly, and immediately understood my vague description of what i wanted in my haircut. He expertly cut and shaped a style that was perfect for me, and he performed his art quickly. We had a pleasant conversation while he worked.
Loved the experience and recommend him highly!"

"Parking - only street parking which you have to pay for (~$2 for an hour)
Ambiance - music not too loud - trendy artwork on the wall - bright and clean looking
Service - Saw Olivia - was super nice and easy to talk to, made me feel comfortable, patiently listened to what I wanted to do with my hair, gave some good suggestions. And Armand checked me out with a living social coupon and he didn't make a fuss about it which I really appreciated!
Haircut - Looks great - exactly what I was looking for & more. When I first walked in was a little concerned because Olivia herself had a very modern haircut - platinum blonde & very short, but she totally listened when I described what I wanted which was a little more conservative - about shoulder length with layers.
Recommendation - Definitely going back again!"

"Being of mixed race its tough to find someone who knows how to flatiron my hair let alone color it. I've experienced countless salon nightmares so I just came to the fact that I'd always have to do my own hair. Untillll I met josh. I went in with some friends and was greeted by the staff and everyone was so friendly! We took a little baby step and I let him style my hair. F***ing loved it. Then I let him put in my extensions, cut, and since last week, COLOR my hair. My hair is healthy and looks amazing. Ive refered some of my closest friends and they can't get enough. Neither can I!
Josh can make me runway fierce, ready for a club appearance, a photoshoot, to a style for everyday. 5 stars to my amazing stylist. Its like the saying once you go black you never go back....except its not? Whatever.

"This is not a ritzy, pretentious salon. If you are looking for a plush zen spa with rose petals and candles, this is not the place. But if you are looking for a clean, nicely designed place to get your hair cut, treated and colored by people who care about their customers and treat them like they'd like to have them back, then make you appointment today.
I also had a coupon. I had been overpaying for color at a fancy place in town because it was recommended to me and I'm new to the area. I wasn't about to pay that much trying different places out so the coupon came in handy.
When I walked in my color was a disaster and my hair hadn't been cut in a long time. I didn't get any snide remarks just good, solid questions about what I was expecting, what I liked and if I was willing to take some recommendations for changes. Isn't that what we are looking for?
When I walked out, I had fantastic color and a great cut. The tone suited me much better than what I'd been having done in other salons and I got a lot of compliments.
AND not only is he a great colorist and stylist, but Joshua works up a deliciously relaxing head massage."

"Let's first say I am extremely picky about who touches my hair because of past disasters. New to the area I saw a Living Social coupon and checked out reviews online and decided to make an appointment for my mother and myself. My mother saw Armand, I saw Allison.
Armand was available first so my mom went to get her cut. She told Armand what she wanted done and he sat behind her and started playing with her hair. He took her thoughts into consideration and offered some tweeks to her ideas, which she was fine with. At the end she was pleased with her cut, which is hard to do.
Myself, I had Allison. Allison was VERY nice. She listened to what I had in mind and started working her magic. The cut looked great....and when I washed and wore it out a couple of days later--it didn't look as great as when Allison styled it--but it was def obvious I had my long layers put back in.

"My 17 year old daughter was having her Senior Prom and we were told about Marie, a fantastic hair stylist with Salon Armand. Wow, am I glad we went there! We live in Shoreline so going into town is always a treat.
What we didn't know was how wonderful of a treat we were in store for with Marie. Marie took extraordinary time, patience and creativity to have my daughter's hair styled with such class. Amanda looked like a movie star....just so picturesque and lovely!
Marie outdid herself and I highly recommend her to my friends all over Seattle. She truly made us feel comfortable. The salon is very nice and clean with wonderful service at the front desk.

"Armand saved my hair! I had allowed a "friend" who claimed to be a retired hairstylist do my hair. It turned out the color of orange crush, no pretty blonde highlights. Armand spent hours creating a subtle blonde and I left happy and it didn't kill my pocketbook.
The whole staff was cheerful and fun. Everything was so tidy and yet cozy at the same time. I was so relaxed when they finished my hair, I set my next appointment right away.
Go to Salon Armand! They are priced for our economic times and yet the service and quality is better than what you would get and pay extra for at
some of those snooty salons.
Great location! Great pricing! Great People! Awesome experience!"

"A friend recommended Salon Armand, specifically Joshua. I cannot thank her enough for recommending him. Simply put, Joshua is wonderful. I have notoriously bad taste in hairstyles and let him have basically free-range to do what he thought best. It's simple but stylish and requires a comb-through to look fantastic. I booked my next appointment with him immediately after the hair cut, which is a rare occurrence for me.
Joshua is multi-faceted, he also is a make-up artist. He did an amazing job doing my eyes for a special occasion. That is an understatement. I looked and felt beautiful, as many people told me that night. He definitely undercharged me for his first-class work.

"I just had an amazing experience at Salon Armand. I didn't know what I wanted done with my hair and Marie took my vague ideas and made me look fab. From the moment I walked in to the moment I walked out I was taken care of. Did I want tea? Water? Chocolate? Was I comfortable? Did I want a magazine? My every need was looked after.
Marie gave me an AMAZING scalp massage while she shampooed my hair and spent quality time making sure my layers were shaped to my face. The small salon feels intimate and warm

"Sitting off the cozy corner of Boylston Ave awaits an A-list treasure for your mane and tresses. Along with the several positive reviews ahead of me, I cannot emphasize enough the great experience I've had with this salon. They might arguably offer one of the best salon customer services in town. Having come out of a series of tressy troubles, Allison was able to fix me right up. First time appointment: I had full foils with color that turned out shockingly AMAZING. Hooked on the spot, I booked a haircut appointment with her the same day. Allison was very sweet and cautious as she wanted to make sure I was comfortable with every decision. I appreciate her efforts in making sure every detail was right on point.
